Responsibilities

Within the Operations Engineering Support department, we currently have a vacancy in Gent Sud (Belgium) for a Process & project engineer

As a Process/Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Saflex manufacturing processes, products and services, effectively addressing existing and/or emerging gaps, to establish a global leadership position. This includes professional troubleshooting assistance, knowledge transfer between departments, development of concepts/strategies and implementation of effective engineering projects.

Your main responsibilities:
 Analyzing, identifying, developing and implementing equipment improvements will be your primary responsibility
 Manage and implement plant projects, as defined in the capital plan, according to project premises in terms of safety, schedule, quality, volume and cost.
 coordinate and monitor project activities through internal and external resources
 Provide technical expertise and support for acute/chronic equipment performance failures within Saflex Manufacturing
 prepare technical/pedagogical material and present this information to various groups
 maintain the right to operate conditions in the Saflex process to ensure the continuity of Ghent’s operations
 stay on top of extrusion-based equipment technology
 cultivate networks with people across a variety of functions and locations within the organization

Qualifications

A team player with excellent communication skills, who can effectively communicate technical expertise to others and is able to lead multidisciplinary project teams.

Training and qualifications required
 Master’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a specialization in “electrical systems” or comparable experience
 Fluent in Dutch and English
